This Privacy Policy explains what data Floggy (the "Service") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Floggy app and the blogs hosted on it. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Data We Collect
We collect the following kinds of data:
- Account data: your name, email address, username, and profile details you provide. If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information from your Google account.
- Content you create: posts, pages, newsletters, notes, tasks, calendar settings, themes, and uploaded media.
- Billing data: subscription status and plan. Payment details are handled by our payment provider, not stored by us (see Third Parties below).
- Usage and analytics data: privacy-friendly, aggregated metrics about visits to your blog and use of the Service.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, and similar information collected automatically to operate and secure the Service.
2. How We Use Data
- to provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
- to host and deliver your blog and its content to visitors;
- to send newsletters you compose to subscribers you manage;
- to process subscriptions and manage your account;
- to communicate with you about your account, security, and updates;
- to detect, prevent, and address abuse, fraud, and technical issues;
- to comply with legal obligations.
3. Cookies and Sessions
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and operate the Service securely. Session cookies are essential for authentication. Our analytics are designed to be privacy-friendly and avoid cross-site tracking. You can control cookies through your browser, though some features may not work without them.
4. Third Parties
We share data with service providers that help us run the Service. These providers process data on our behalf and only as needed:
- Polar (Polar Software Inc.): our merchant of record and reseller, for checkout, billing, taxes, and payment processing.
- Resend: for sending transactional emails and newsletters.
- Google: for optional sign-in with your Google account.
- Umami: for privacy-friendly, aggregated analytics.
We may also disclose data when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service. We do not sell your personal data.
5. Data Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete content or close your account, we delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it for legal, accounting, security, or backup purposes.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can manage much of your data directly in your account settings, or contact us to make a request. We will respond in line with applicable law.
7. International Transfers
The Service relies on infrastructure and providers that may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we take steps to ensure your data is protected in line with applicable law.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country. We do not knowingly collect data from children below that age. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us so we can remove it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Policy.
